Ealing Autumn Festival
The last in the William Lloyd Webber centenary concerts with a performance of his finest orchestral work "Aurora" opening the concert.
Schumann wrote his piano concerto for his wife, Clara, who was an outstanding concert pianist and a composer in her own right. The couple took the young Brahms into their family as an adoptive artistic son. This initiated a life-time's journey of complex relationships of mutual respect, love and devotion, both artistic and personal.
