Never miss another 'Nick Revell' show
No Pressure to be Funny: Nick Revell, Alistair Barrie
The topical and satirical panel show and podcast No Pressure to be Funny continues its residency at Soho Theatre. No captions, no captains, no competitions, just funny, informed and acerbic discussion of the world and what’s going on with comedians, journalists, politicians and campaigners.
Nick Revell
One of the original alternative comedians of the early 1980s, Nick was nominated for the Perrier award in 1987. He was the resident compere at The Comedy Store for 10 years and in 1989 he had a BBC Radio 4 show and BBC1 TV show, both called 'Nick Revell'. He also wrote for BBC radio classics 'Week Ending' and 'The News Huddlines' along with a host of contributors who included Ged Parsons, Oleg Stepaniuk, Nick & Roger Saunders, Michael Dines and Bob & Barbara Boulton. In 1992 he retired from the comedy circuit, but now he's back with the twin aims of bringing down the George W Bush administration, and paying his monthly mortgage bill.

Alistair Barrie
Much in demand as an act, Alistair Barrie has forged a reputation for himself as one of the top comperes to emerge in recent years. His deceptively friendly and engaging stage presence masks a sharp, dry wit which can be turned to subjects as diverse as suicide bombers in the Middle East to the perils of flying EasyJet. Despite a fondness for topical material, any performance is likely to be peppered with some inspired silliness and a little audience-related improvisation.
