Shadwell Opera

Herald Angel Award Winners Shadwell Opera present SPEAK, a fundraising concert, at Shoreditch Town Hall. Three avant-garde masterpieces of the 20th century: Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, Walton’s Façade, and Ravel’s Trois Poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé. Conducted by Finnegan Downie Dear, this event will explore the porous boundary between speech and music. Featuring up-and-coming singers Alice Rose Privett, Sarah-Jane Lewis and Jenny Stafford, and continuing Shadwell’s long standing collaboration with MC Love Ssega, this concert will showcase Shadwell’s usual flair for the unexpected.

All proceeds will be used towards funding future Shadwell Opera projects.
