Hot August Fringe - RVT Birthday: Drag and Legends

Take a trip back to the 80s, for one night only, to celebrate 151 years of the RVT on this here planet! The RVT has a long history in the LGBT (and wider) community and every performer and punter has a story to tell about their times there. The 80’s saw the cementing of the reputation of the RVT – when it was at the vanguard of gay expression and liberation, a haven to the community and the most fun you could have on a night out.

Featuring legends, drag queens and memories of the venue with special guest, Maisie Trollette and host, Ginger Johnson. They will be revising the infamous Mr RVT beauty pageant and also presenting clips from Happybirthdayrvt.com, the digital memory archive being compiled by Tim Brunsden. Audience members will be invited to contribute their memories in the video booth.
