Air Quality For All

Air pollution has been in the news a lot this year, with Saharan dust settling over the UK, Oxford Street declared the most polluted in the world and Paris banning half its cars over pollution fears.

The World Health Organisation attributed 3.7 million premature deaths worldwide in 2012 to outdoor air pollution and even more, 4.3 million deaths to indoor air pollution.

An expert panel will gather at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) to discuss the problem and how creative technology and new thinking can help us all breathe more easily.

This is a public event and all are welcome to attend. Panel discussion will be followed by audience Q&A.

Speakers:
Dr Gabrielle Walker (Chair), Writer, broadcaster and Chief Scientist at Xynteo
Prof Frank Kelly, Professor of Environmental Health, King's College London
James Thornton, CEO, ClientEarth
Sarah Collins, Founder, Wonderbag
