An all-Russian concert, overflowing with striking instrumental colours featuring Glinka, Glazunov and Tchaikovsky.
Things get off to a thrilling start with Glinka's whirlwind overture to Ruslan und Ludmilla. Glazunov's captivating Violin Concerto combines winning melodies with sparkling virtuosity, the perfect complement to Tchaikovsky's blazingly inventive symphony, which ends thrillingly in a folksong overdrive.
