Imagine Children’s Festival 2013: Mega: Bryony Kimmings
This is a coming-of-age tale of one hot summer, schoolgirl dreams and those moments in life when the magnificent becomes the mundane.
Back in 1990, hopeful property developers built a giant space-ship-shaped restaurant on the side of the A14 near Bryony's home town. Bryony remembers the hysteria cursing through her town as the space ship was constructed - what she remembers more was its sad demise.
Bryony invites you to become her nine-year-old self, pull on a shell suit, grab a walkman and embark on a trip down memory lane.
Ticketholders, on arrival please go to the MEGA shop opposite the main Ticket Office inside Royal Festival Hall., where you will receive a shell suit, walkman and bum bag.
For ages 12+ years.
Bryony Kimmings
Artist and performer who flits between improvised chat and highly polished acts of song, poetry and dance. She creates full-length performance works, cabaret acts, homemade music, audio installations and spoken word.
