Based on Afrobeat, Dele's music is a blend of complex funk grooves, traditional Nigerian music (including hi-life) and African percussion. He has released a number of solo albums and recently collaborated with British rapper TY.
Dele's career began when he joined Fela Kuti's Egypt 80 band. He then formed Positive Force with Femi Kuti, with whom he performed from 1986 to 1994. In both groups he was keyboard player and musical director.
Support comes from Simo Lagnawi, the UK's leading Guembri player and Gnawa Master. Simo has been nominated for Best Newcomer and Best Artist at the 2014 Songlines Music awards.
