1940s Christmas Carol Concert: Swingtime Sweethearts
On the 15th and 16th of December the Museum will be holding its third annual 1940s Christmas Carol Concert. Each concert will be located underneath the Lancaster in Bomber Hall and will commence at 2:30pm on each day.
By incredibly popular request, the hostesses for both concerts will be the Swingtime Sweethearts who, as well as leading the audience in the carols, will serenade concert goers with a series of classic Christmas hits from the 1930s and 1940s.
Swingtime Sweethearts
Take a trip down memory lane with songs from the 1940's, Wartime & Swing. The Swingtime Sweethearts are Annie Riley & Le'arna Ashleigh, both successful solo artists, with a combined experience of over 12 years. Their affection for the forties, has brought them together to perform as the Swingtime Sweethearts. Their wide range of songs, including those that were originally hits for The Andrews Sisters, Anne Shelton, Vera Lynn & Ella Fitzgerald (to name a few) will entertain both young and old alike.
