Gilad Atzmon

A welcome return for fiery saxophonist Gilad Atzmon. Here paying inimitable tribute to the greatest alto sax player in jazz history, Charlie Parker. Accompanied by his powerful band and a full string section he adds depth to ‘Bird's’ classic compositions.

Respected as a composer as well as a player, Atzmon is a searching, searing musician who pulls no punches in providing a lively show, but is able to marry the effervescence of his more driving tunes with a more measured melodic approach to his ballads.
