Reverend JW Simpson, Fitzrovia's famous cocktail expert, is pleased to announce a summer series of the hugely successful Spirited Sermons. Once again, the Reverend will praise and preach about some of the world's oldest and fascinating spirits in a series of cocktail master classes focusing on Summery drinks, unusual ingredients, and innovative takes on classic recipes.

Wednesday 7th May 2014 - Aperitifs
The Aperitif is a pre-dinner custom almost as old as dinner itself, and one that, despite being in decline, has recently grown into a huge trend in London. Arguably, the Italians still do it best, with their relaxed daily Aperitivos, and their timeless bittersweet drinks, such as The Americano and The Aperol Spritz, but the Brits have been at it for years with summer Fruit Cups, and G & Ts. Reverend JW Simpson will whet guests' appetites with demonstrations of classic Aperitifs, and introduce new trends, foraged ingredients and home-made syrups to bring this tradition up to date.
