Cuban Classics: A Night In Havana
Making his Southbank Centre debut alongside opera and tango singer Ann Liebeck and Cuban jazz violinist Omar Puente, Marcos Madrigal performs music for solo piano and violin from Cuba, Spain, Argentina and Brazil.
Much of the music is by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona who was also famous for his jazz band The Cuban Boys and at the heart of the sophisticated scene in Havana in the 1930s and 1940s.

An exponent of hot Cuban salsa music, Omar cut his teeth with Latin greats such as Ruben Gonzales, Chucho Valdez And Arturo Sandoval.
