London International Mime Festival 2015 - The Pianist

Following a sold-out season at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Pianist, created by Thomas Monckton in collaboration with Finland’s Circo Aereo, mixes mime and contemporary circus skills in a highly polished physical comedy centred on, in and around the grand piano.

Featuring an accident prone pianist as he begins his concert and suffers a spectacular catastrophe, the production combines physical comedy with refined contemporary circus-theatre. One of his country's most accomplished young actors, New Zealander Thomas Monckton trained at the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris, the city he has made his home.
