Family Atlantica
Celebrated vocalist and cuatro player, Luzmira Zerpa leads her ensemble, which blends traditional Venezuelan songs and originals with explosive Afro-Latin percussion, flute and electric guitar: a fresh perspective on the beautiful folk traditions of Venezuela.
Founder of music and dance group Family Atlantica, Luzmira Zerpa is one of the most celebrated Venezuelan artists working in the UK today. She comes from the immensely rich lineage of Venezuelan folk music and plays traditional instruments such as the cuatro (Venezuelan four string guitar) and maracas.
