The Facemelter
Chaos Theory presents a lineup of brutal bands bringing together progressive, groove and tech metal.
Karybdis:
A furious fusion of minds from around the globe, bringing all of their influences to the UK metal scene. Pushing the boundaries of progressive, groove and death metal with their debut album 'From The Depths', Karybdis have received rave reviews in the metal world and been signed by Beasting Records.
Currently working on their second album, they are already getting everyone on edge in anticipation with their single 'Constellations', released last September.
"Flawless technical skills" - Rock Freaks.
------------
Invocation:
Formed in early 2009, Invocation's sound has evolved into a blend of hard hitting rhythmic riffs accompanied by epic soundscapes and melodies.
With the release of their debut self-titled EP in November 2011, Invocation have blown into the tech metal scene and have since performed at Euroblast, UK Tech Fest 2012/2013 and shared stages with the likes of Chimp Spanner, Aliases, Bury Tomorrow, Red Seas Fire, Heart of a Coward, The Algorithm and Hacktivist.
They are currently working on writing new material for their next release and you'll be able to grab their t-shirts and EP from the merch stand on the night.
------------
Darkeye:
After a huge show with Eye Of Solitude last year, we're lucky to have these south Londoners return to The Facemelter in its new home.
Combining melodic and heavy progressive metal, these guys manage to keep the raw edge and technical prowess, but with more sprawling melodic sections, giving the songs room to breathe.
Their self-released EP is available to download now, while they have a second one in the works.
