The Facemelter Special
Independent promotion Chaos Theory celebrates 5 years of amazing underground gigs, music and adventures with a special edition of monthly night The Facemelter.
Latitudes:
Formed in 2006, this band have played extensively to audiences spanning post-rock, doom, post-metal and prog, with numerous support and headlining shows including DesertFest and Damnation Festival.
Their EP and two full-length albums 'Agonist' and 'Individuation' are out on Shelsmusic and are phenomenal.
At this show, their set will be heavily reliant on material from their new album, which will be released at some point in 2015.
"Craftsmen at the peak of their game" - Sputnik Music
"A Dalai Lama of pitch-perfect post-metal principles" - Heavy Blog Is Heavy
"Engrossing and hauntingly atmospheric" - Rock n Reel Reviews
Bast:
A phenomenal band perfectly fusing doom, black metal, ambient and stoner rock in ways that the world has never seen before. After playing at The Facemelter many years ago they have become notoriously picky about the gigs they play at, so it's a huge accolade to have them back once again.
Their album 'Spectres' is out on Black Bow Records/Burning World Records and must be owned.
"Intense passion and fury that makes it even more impossible to ignore" - The Sludgelord
"Spectres is one of the best doom albums by a UK band" - The Sleeping Shaman
"Bast have set the bar stupidly high." - Echoes And Dust
Three Thrones:
A punishing sludge trio, formed in 2011, who've been trudging their way through the UK's murky underground with a series of crushing live gigs, one EP and a recent split with William English.
"Peppering every song with little sonic quirks, and incorporating an impressive range of influences from across the various genres of heavy" - The Sleeping Shaman.
"Had the entire audience ranging from appreciative nodding to floor-scraping head banging." - Metal Recusants.
Latitudes
Downbeat, dark and enchantingly melancholic rock for fans of Isis, Pelican, Battle Of Mice and Bossk.
