Duration 45 mins
In 2006, archaeologists from Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) discovered dissected human and animal remains in the grounds of the London Hospital. This talk will explain how the remains were analysed to provide information on the tools and techniques that were in use at the medical school, including cadaver sharing and comparative anatomy. With MOLA's Head of Osteology, Natasha Powers.
Digging Up The Dead
Duration 45 mins
Find out about the challenges faced by the Museum of London archaeologists who excavated the early 19th century burial ground at the Royal London Hospital. With Louise Fowler, Senior Archaeologist for Museum of London Archaeology.
