Two Halves Of Guinness
Late 1970s. 'Star Wars' has just been released and looks set to become one of the biggest films of all time. But Sir Alec Guinness is worried that future generations will only remember him for his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi rather than for brilliant performances in films such as 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' and 'The Bridge on the River Kwai'.
Mark Burgess' funny and insightful play sees Trevor Littledale give a virtuoso performance as Guinness as he reflects on acting, faith, family and his shattering insecurity all played out against a background of the golden days of British film and theatre.
