Robert Proch: Land Without Footprints

Lazarides Rathbone is pleased to present Land Without Footprints, an arresting body of abstract work from Polish artist Robert Proch. The upcoming solo showcase is in continuation of Proch's 2012 breakthrough Between Dimensions and coincides with the artist's co-curated group exhibition Jednakowo / Ró?ni at The Outsiders Newcastle.

Combining classic caricature, animation and impressionist influences, Land Without Footprints is a direct response to our evolving modern society and the nature in which we interact within it. Fascinated by human relations within advanced technologic environments, Proch deconstructs landscapes where figures appear lost amongst countless square fields. The alluring narratives merge vivid colours with tangible emotions to create a powerful dialogue between concrete cityscapes and virtual realities.

Land Without Footprints presents a futuristic realm where perspective is distorted and humans connect solely in a web-orientated universe. Extending Proch's meticulous painting technique developed over the past five years, the latest showcase comprises 15 acrylic paintings across a range of sizes, some reaching almost as large as two metres squared.
