Moxafrica Fundraiser Gig: David Gray + The Magic Numbers + Gabriella Cilmi + David Ford + Bo Bruce + Thabani Nyomi & The Kaya Festival Drummers + Buckshot Soup
Rock critic and author Neil McCormick is putting on this fundraising show in aid of Moxafrica, a charity supporting Africans with tuberculosis.
This will be a unique and intimate night of unplugged of music, featuring David Gray, Aussie Gabriella Cilmi, The Magic Numbers, and more special guests, plus the chance to win a pair of Bono's sunglasses!
David Gray
David Gray has established himself as one of the UK's leading music artists both at home and overseas. With a career now spanning over fifteen years, David's commercial success is also backed up by a critical consensus and numerous accolades. His simple yet touching melodies (both melancholic and feelgood in equal measure), confirmed David Gray as one of the leading singer / songwriters in the business. Well-crafted, emotional and mature pop.

The Magic Numbers
"Two pairs of siblings, led by the prodigiously talented lead singer and songwriter Romeo, who make a beautiful sound emphasised by angelic three-part harmonies. The vocal mix brings to mind the music of sixties harmony groups, but there are influences from all over the place flawlessly combined. With a great set of original songs, this band are busy mapping out a timeless musical territory of their own." - Artrocker.

Gabriella Cilmi
Australian singer songwriter with an unmistakable voice and original songwriting. Founded in blues and jazz, with a hint of The Doors and sixties psychedelia, Gabriella's sound is as fresh, modern and sassy as it gets.

David Ford
David Ford is a British singer-songwriter, currently living in Eastbourne, East Sussex. He first achieved prominence with the indie rock group Easyworld, who released an independent mini-album, '…Better Ways to Self Destruct' and two full-length albums on Jive Records before disbanding in 2004. Ford branched into a solo career soon after, and has become known both for the sheer passion he puts into his songs, but also for being a master at the layered/looping effect he brings to many of his songs. He now has a large following having released two albums and toured extensively in the UK and US.

Bo Bruce
Bo's songs speak to people on an intimate and personal level. Her soft, husky voice conveying the story of a once complicated and broken soul. Her musical influences are contradictory – from Sigur Ros and Massive attack to David Guetta and Muse – she hopes to combine her love for '90s trip hop and the soaring orchestral electronics of Sigur Ros – with "radio friendly hooks".

Buckshot Soup
Derby-based country group Buckshot Soup, making feel-good party music. 'These boys are definitely worth tracking down and seeing. Hell, even if y'all don't like bluegrass, go see 'em - they could just make you change your mind.' - Surge Music
