London Bulgarian Choir

Enjoy an evening of spine-tingling music from Bulgaria: choral music and traditional folk songs which have survived centuries of foreign influence to emerge with extraordinarily dissonant harmonies, exotic scales, compelling rhythms, and exuberant trills and hiccups.

Led by Dessislava Stefanova, a former singer with the legendary Philip Koutev Bulgarian National Folk Ensemble in Sofia, the choir’s notable achievements include winning BBC Radio 3 Open Choir of the Year and collaborating with numerous rock, jazz and classical musicians, and with Xbox on the soundtrack of the recently released game Halo 4.

This event runs alongside an art exhibition by The Magma Group which is on display until 14th November 2014
