The Marama Cafe Band

A band of versatile musicians who have worked with various singers from the Balkans, in the UK gypsy jazz and swing scene, tango and jazz clubs, world music festivals and brasseries. Swing, Romanian and Hungarian gypsy music, hot club / gypsy jazz, French musette, Argentinean tango, plus some original tunes. A band full of creativity, snappy arrangements, high energy soloing and tight musicianship, peppered with humour and occasional short story comedy.

Featuring Pete Watson (accordion); Frank Biddulph (violin); David Ahmed (guitar); Paul Tkachenko (double bass) and the beautiful voice of Wednesday Gray.
