Gruesome Playground Injuries

Gruesome Playground Injuries, by Rajiv Joseph, directed by Justin Audibert, is the European debut for acclaimed Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph in the Leverhulme Bursary production 2013, Supported by the National Theatre Studio

You've got like super powers.
Even tonight. When we kissed, you kissed my missing tooth.
The gap. And it stopped hurting.

When Kayleen and Doug meet in the nurse’s office of their elementary school aged 8, she can’t stop being sick and he’s pedalled his bike off the roof. Over the course of the next 30 years an intensely unusual love story develops that is as delicate and raw as its protagonists. Passionate, infuriating, heartwarming and heartbreaking; their own destructiveness continues to force them apart, only to be drawn together again. And again.
