Kasabian
A glorious synth-tinged melting pot of indie rock that will caress the eardrums. Formed in Leicester while still at school, they took their name from Linda Kasabian, one of the members of the Charles Manson cult. Their electronica-indie rock fusion akin to Primal Scream combined with the rough vocal style and unrepentant Mancunian swagger of Oasis has firmly established them as more than just a flash in the pan and injected a large dose of energy back into the Brit-rock scene.

The five-time Grammy Award winner was named Forbes' Most Powerful Woman in the World 2011 and was included in Time's annual "The 2010 Time 100" list of the most influential people in the world. With over 2.2 billion combined views of all her videos online, Lady Gaga is one of the biggest living people on Facebook with over 49 million 'likes' and is #1 on Twitter with over 22 million followers. Lady Gaga is the only artist in the digital era to top the 5 million sales mark with her first two hits.

JLS
JB, Aston, Marvin and Oritsé reached the final two of the X Factor back in 2008 - the first group ever to get that far on the show. Since then, their success has been nothing short of staggering, with sold-out arena and stadium tours, number one singles and multi-platinum albums. They have also won four MOBO Awards and two 2010 BRIT trophies to date. The group have decided to go their separate ways following their Greatest Hits Tour at the end of 2013, saying: "It has been the most incredible journey over the last 6 years and we have achieved more things than we could have ever dreamed possible."

Dizzee Rascal
Underground dance master who stunned the UK garage scene with his debut album 'Boy In Da Corner' and single 'I Luv U' in 2003, both of which warped the sound into something dark, disturbing and deliciously innovative. Considered the most popular and influential Grime artist in the world, and also recognised as an innovator with his production style. 2007's 'Maths + English' is a masterpiece and a credit to the genre.

Florence and The Machine
Florence and The Machine is a one-woman force of bluesy rock with her roots in the same ground as Scout Niblett and PJ Harvey. The music of Florence Welch, sounds rough and ragged, likened to American pre-war folk and blues. Florence's award-winning debut album, 'Lungs', was one of the best selling albums of 2009 and 2010, staying in the UK Top 40 for sixty-five consecutive weeks. The second album, Ceremonials became their second successive No. 1 after debuting at the top of the UK chart.
