Consumed by the prophecy of the three weïrd sisters and driven on by his wife's naked ambition, Macbeth conspires to crown himself King of Scotland. In this mediaeval world governed by the laws of the supernatural, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth struggle to exert their will as the prophecy comes to its bloody fulfillment.
