Club Ingales Autumn Season 2014

Welcome to Club Inégales season 10! Again a range of guests from contemporary folk to free improvisers visit the cosy Euston basement and join unique evenings: something new/improvised together.

The club's ownevents begin 6th November with Mercury Prize nominated folk singer Sam Lee with a first ever solo spot, followed by new versions of his eloquent, elegant songs, featuring our own Max Baillie on violin.

Then five London Jazz Festival nights : an evening of ‘jazz rants’ (what do they have to be angry about?) followed by the ever electric Byron Wallen - then ranging through Europe from Norwegian power guitar Hedwig Mollestad to the hot Amsterdam band Cactus Truck to the beguiling Swiss voice and drums of Andreas Schaerer and Lucas Niggli.

Notes Inégales are some of the best new music/jazz players in the country at home in - yes, folk, contemporary music and free improvisation.

They also welcome back an Estonian Jazz Showcase led by soulful guitarist Jaak Solar on 21st October - and close with a traditional Christmas bash (18th December) with the ebullient Balkan band Op Sa!

They have a splendid new link with Sound and Music this year offering two composers the chance to be ‘embedded’ with the club for a whole season.
