Martin Carthy
Former member of Steeleye Span, The Albion Band and folk super group Band Of Hope, Martin Carthy was awarded the MBE in 1998 for services to folk music. Further credits include nurturing Bob Dylan, and giving his arrangement of 'Scarborough Fair' to Paul Simon. He's a ballad singer, a ground-breaking acoustic and electric-guitarist and an authoritative interpreter of newly composed material. Trailblazing musical partnerships with, amongst others, Dave Swarbrick and his award-winning wife Norma Waterson and daughter Eliza Carthy has resulted in more than 40 albums.

Dave Swarbrick
One of England’s most revered and well-loved folk musicians. With a back catalogue dating back to the early sixties and collaborations including Peggy Seeger, Ian Campbell and the infamous Martin Carthy, Dave Swarbrick is an integral part of British folk heritage. Having played with the legendary Fairport Convention and Band of Hope, in 2002 he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from BBC Radio 2’s Folk Awards. Renowned for his collaborations, Swarbrick is also justifiably celebrated for his solo work.

James Yorkston
'A thousand times more haunting than anything the New Acoustic Movement ever dreamed of' said the NME. Indeed Scottish musician James Yorkston's music is haunting, but there is something else in his music which lifts him above the average acoustic singer/songwriter. At times he sounds like a rat-pack crooner, the next like a scottish balladeer, and just when he's got down to his quietest, most fragile moment he'll break into one of the loudest acoustic guitar intervals you're likely to hear. James Yorkston is diversity at it's best, with all the quality of tradition and excitement of the new.

Carrivick Sisters
Twins Laura and Charlotte from Devon first started performing as a duo in 2006, and in 2007 won a busking contest and a spot at Glastonbury and turned professional. They play guitar, mandolin, banjo, dobro and fiddle, sing and harmonise wonderfully and perform with an expertise and maturity way beyond their tender years. Their background is in bluegrass but with a strong folk influence evident in their original songs which are inspired by their local landscape and stories.
