“Hi! My name is Bjorn. This year I was 55. As I blew out the candles on my cake, I made a wish. To find the peace I used to feel on the tennis court before McEnroe exploded it. And then it hit me. I had to come to Britain, the home of Wimbledon, to rediscover what I once had, and rid my dreams of the gloating American...”
This show, from Fringe First-winner Jamie Wood, is energetic, entertaining and ridiculously competitive.
Jamie Wood has made a wide spectrum of theatre, ranging from acrobatic street shows performed across Europe, to the intimate poetic visual language of his company Petra's Pulse, to the darkly surreal plays of the Frequency D'Ici (Paperweight, Fringe First, 2009).
He has performed with Belarus Free Theatre and Tanztheater Wuppertal, regularly collaborates with Chris Goode, and has toured with artists including Caroline Horton, Toby Park (Spymonkey), Guy Dartnell and Mischa Twitchin (Shunt).
