Last Night Of The Proms - Popular Classics In The Thames Tunnel Shaft
The Brunel Museum proudly presents its own Last Night of the Proms.
The amazing Horns Aloud and a special guest singer will play a programme of great classical hits climaxing with Last Night of the Proms favourites "Jerusalem", "Land of Hope and Glory" and "Rule Britannia".
Hear "Hail the conquering hero ", "Rule Britannia" and other pieces last heard in the Thames Tunnel Shaft in 1827 when they were performed by the band of the Coldstream Guards at the famous banquet organised by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Tickets include free admission (worth £5) to the Midnight Apothecary cocktail bar where you can enjoy exquisite drinks flavoured with herbs and fruits grown in the rooftop garden above the Thames Tunnel Shaft.
The Thames Tunnel Shaft is below ground. The air is cool so please dress warmly.
