Performance Lab

Performance Lab is a scratch night with a difference - it's for all types of live performance and aimed at those doing or developing something new with their own practice. This includes innovation in technique, subject matter or method of creation. This innovation doesn't have to be entirely new but new to their own practice and can be the first time they do this or at a later stage of development of the idea. Final Edit is a company founded by Chris Orr. Chris also wrote Gotcha for the first Platform at Bread and Roses. Final edit has developed a number of innovative projects including "Shakespeare to Go" - Shakespeare played in private houses and "Tales from The Coffee House" an immersive, site specific and interactive show performed in a cafe in and amongst the audience. Currently Chris is developing Slopro a more considered style of impro with pause, silence and stillness incorporated to add depth, back story and subtext.
