Stewart Lee
An official Channel 4 survey of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups Ever placed Stewart Lee at number 41. His mother, whom he loves dearly, thinks Tom O'Connor the better comedian, having seen him do a joke about a sardine on a cruise ship ten years ago. And he isn't even in the top 100...
'The funniest, most cliche-free comedian on the circuit' (Ricky Gervais).
'Superlative' (Metro)
'Marvellously funny: mordant, thoughtful and crafted' (Observer)
'Masterful' (The Daily Telegraph).

Festival Of The Spoken Nerd
Festival Of The Spoken Nerd is the brain child of stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, geek songstress Helen Arney and experiments guy Steve Mould. These wonderfully nerdy performers present a celebration of science, comedy and unashamed geekiness, with live experiments, audience participation, and occasional specially selected guest scientists and comedy headliners.
There's always time for questions at the end, and extra marks are given for showing your workings. Be warned, sometimes things do go BANG!
'Harnesses comedy to highlight what is fun - and funny - about science' (NewScientist.com)
'Wonderfully witty' (Chortle)
'Riotously funny show ... brimming with unashamed geekery' (ThreeWeeks).

Tony Law
Since winning the Glastonbury New Act competition Canadian comedian Tony Law has become one of the most revered stand-ups on the circuit, winning the acclaim of both the critics and his peers. As testament to this Tony was honoured with the prestigious Comics' Choice 'Piece-of-Wood' Award at the 2005 Melbourne Comedy Festival.
The cheerfully absurd humour that Law knocks around into a jazzy, freeform shape has endeared him to both live and TV audiences in the UK and abroad. He's a regular face at the UK's biggest comedy clubs, and a favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
'One of the finest and funniest comics on the circuit... destined for comedy stardom' (Time Out)
'Form-busting and hugely enjoyable' (The Times).

Singer songwriter based in London mixing bitter-sweet romance with wry comedy. Usually appearing as a solo artist, but occasionally performs with a cellist and backing vocalist.

Grace Petrie
A great Leicester acoustic singer-songwriter, counting Billy Bragg amongst her fan base. She writes indie folk rock songs (a couple with an acoustic punk twist), plays the guitar and sings with a voice that has been described by listeners as similar to Laura Marling, Kate Nash and nothing you’ve ever heard before.
