The Possible Impossible House
For the first time Forced Entertainment create a piece for children, The Possible Impossible House. Commissioned by the Barbican, this is a mix of home-made visual magic, comical live sound effects and quirky adventure.
Springing from the blank page of an algebra book a doodled girl sets out on a night-time adventure through labyrinthine corridors, a deserted ballroom and a cupboard under the stairs.
As the night goes on she encounters many of the house's inhabitants – from a talking mouse to a friendly philosophical spider, a not-so-very-frightening ghost and an army of dancing soldiers – all of whom help, and sometimes hinder, her journey through a most unusual house.
Forced Entertainment
One of Britain's foremost experimental theatre companies, producing stimulating, challenging and provocative work which creates exciting encounters…
