Ahmad Jamal
Ahmad Jamal is a legendary pianist whose innovative style, which incorporates a striking use of space and rhythm, influenced many, including the likes of Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett. His 1958 recording 'Ahmad Jamal at the Pershing: But Not for Me' is widely considered as one of the all-time classic jazz recordings and his original compositions (such as 'Ahmad's Blues', 'New Rhumba' and 'Manhattan Reflections') have become jazz standards.
