Hipsters Don’t Dance & Swing Ting with World Carnival
Kazabon and Hootie Who drew inspiration from their respective heritages
(Trinidad and Nigeria) to form the World Carnival Sound. Combining their
loves of all things Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats and more to create a unique
sound that they bring to all their sets.
After winning the iDJ Raw Talent competition in 2010 the pair have gone from
strength to strength taking their world carnival sound to clubs across the
globe. With features in Mixmag, London’s Metro and countless online sites as
well as their club night regularly being picked by Time Out as the place to be.
Hipsters Don’t Dance and Swing Ting combine for a World Carnival party to
remember, joined by South London’s Trigganom & Famous Eno. Whistles,
horns and appropriate dancing footwear advised.
Kazabon & Hootie Who, known for their tight juggling and up-to-the-minute
knowledge of the freshest current sounds will carry the HDD flag with
Loughborough’s baddest export; DJ Murlo.
Joey B aka Lord Swang will be decked out in a white tee repping Swing Ting,
joined by dusty-fingered soundboys Platt & Samrai alongside
MC/singjay/vibist, the honourable Mr Fox.
Extended family Famous Eno & Trigganom feature as special guests, hot off
blazing down sessions from London to Leeds. Expect Eno’s ruffneck
productions to be ridden with ferocity by Mic-magician Trigganom.
All keen, lean, dancehall kings and queens, witness the combination of these
two teams.
Mr Fox
Murlo
