The Ugly Duckling is a poor little thing, It's no fun feeling like you don't fit in.
He leaves the farm where he lives and his Mother behind, and sets off to the woods to see who he can find,
He lives with the wild geese and ducks for a while, but he doesn't feel happy and can't force a smile,
He meets an old woman with a Cat and a Hen, but they're mean and they tease him so he sets off again,
He sees a flock of swans on a cold winter night and imagines how fun it would feel to take flight,
There is magic and hope in this story of woe, and this tale was written a long time ago,
Come and help the Ugly Duckling dance and sing his songs,
Then watch as he turns into the most beautiful Swan!
