The Delta Saxophone Quartet

The Delta Saxophone Quartet is respected worldwide for its recordings, performances and commissions. After the great reception of their last recording, the Soft Machine inspired Dedicated to You, Delta is continuing to push the boundaries combining free improvisations with audio art and exploring the worlds of Jimmy Giuffre, Brian Eno to King Crimson.

Throughout 2014 the quartet celebrates its 30th anniversary year and to mark this landmark it commissioned and toured a new work by the British composer Mark-Anthony Turnage which was broadcast by BBC Radio 3 for 'Hear & Now'. In Autumn 2014 the quartet will premiere a new work by Gwilym Simcock entitled Crimson (funded by PRSF). This will be performed in Milan in November 2014 and then toured in the UK in 2015 with performances scheduled for the Spring of 2015 in Guildford, Bath and in a variety of Festivals later in the same year.
