A Midsummer Night's Dream
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is perhaps the best loved of Shakespeare’s plays. It is a joyous comedy about love and marriage, in which Shakespeare cleverly interweaves four distinct groups of characters – aristocrats, young lovers, workers, and fairies, all brought together in an enchanted moonlit wood on midsummer’s night when people go mad for love and where dreams can come true.
Our production takes place at a Music Festival in the grounds of a famous stately house on a sumptuous country estate. It is the summer of love; there’s music, magic, mystery, moonlight, and dreams aplenty. The perfect scenario for falling in love – but as Puck knows, falling in love can make fools of us all…
