Silent Gig
Noise rock duo That F***ing Tank and dance-loving artist Yvonne
Carmichael will be teaming up with Lumen to produce a unique live
experience at the crossroads of a Silent Disco, underground gig, sound
installation and movement-based participative performance.
TFT, well known for the intense volume of their instrumental avant-garde
rock music, will perform an unamplified set surrounded by trained and
untrained dancers whose movements have originated from workshops with Yvonne Carmichael.
Audience members will be supplied with headphones with which they can ‘tune in’ to an amplified version of the live music and, if desired, join in with the boogie. Or, if they prefer, they can remove the headphones and enjoy the spectacle of an energetic gig on mute.
