Living History Day: English Civil Wars

Muster your troops and charge down to the museum to experience life in the 17th century.

The English Civil War Society and Colonel Edward Montagu’s Regiment of Foote return to Leeds.

These highly knowledgeable and authentically costumed re-enactors will demonstrate aspects of military life as it was for the ordinary soldier and officers. There will be handling sessions, swordplay demonstrations and the chance to have a go at pike and musket drills.

As well as the military side of life members of the Society will be demonstrating traditional crafts such as spinning, sewing and weaving.
