Since the release of their hugely popular first album E Volo Love, Frànçois and the Atlas Mountains have come a long way. Their most recent music, while remaining true to their signature, sunny harmonies, is at times a more shadowy electronic affair.
According to Frànçois, "Piano Ombre translates as Calm Down Shadow, which refers to me trying to tame the shadows." The result retains their love of a great pop tune, mixed with elegant French lyrics, West African rhythms and a more confident darker edge.
