Visions Of Russia
Following on from Natalie Clein's sell out solo recital, Visions of Russia is the next in the series of special concerts taking place within projected 'rooms' on-stage at the Howard Assembly Room. Here, the 'radiantly sympathetic' (Julian Haylock, Sinfinimusic) violinist Chloë Hanslip is joined by internationally renowned pianist Danny Driver.

The pair focus on two giants of Russian music - Sergei Rachmaninov and Sergei Prokofiev, whose music spans the turn of the 20th Century. This intensely emotional programme includes Prokofiev's austere and thrilling Sonata op 80, and sections of Rachmaninov's supremely expressive Études Tableaux op. 39.
