Born and raised in Philadelphia, DJ Cash Money (aka Jerome Hewlett) is a turntablist, hip-hop artist and record producer. He impressed the world with his remarkable turntable skills inventing and perfecting several scratch forms, including the famous transformer scratch (mimicked the robotic sound effects from the cartoon series of the same name). A close friend and rival to the local boy and hip hop legend Jazzy Jeff, the pair spent their rise to fame DJ-ing at parties together as "Kings of Spin".
