The Young People's Takeover Festival - Glee Club With Rona Topaz

Rona Topaz is a singer, actress, vocal coach, choir leader and music director based in Glasgow and London. In this workshop you will be singing in the style of an American 'show choir' or Glee Club, where movement, vocal solos and showmanship are just as crucial as a good singing voice! Not for the faint hearted or shy singer, the workshop covers the songs of Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars and Jessie J amongst others.

Part of a programme of activities planned by and for young people across the venue. Eleven to seventeen year olds looking to test their creativity and develop new skills are given the opportunity to have a go at contemporary dance, learn the secrets of theatrical make-up, try their hand at costume design, hone their script and song writing skills or join a choir.
