Field Notes

An evening of creative magic with internationally renowned artists. Using old county maps and graphic scores as common starting points, composer Howard Skempton and artist Matthew Harris have each created a brand new work for this performance. Harris’ freestanding textile artwork will transform the space into both a gallery and a concert hall as four of BCMG’s world-class musicians perform Skempton’s new piece, Field Notes, and short pieces by other leading composers.

There will also be the chance to meet the artists – all in an informal and relaxed atmosphere, and to watch the ‘behind-the-scenes’ film.
