The Ferens will host an exhibition by one of the most influential and famous artists to emerge in post-war America. A broad range of Andy Warhol’s work will be included from rarely-seen stitched photographs to his iconic posters and late paintings.

Vibrant colour and the repeated image are distinctive aspects of Warhol’s work whether featuring Hollywood celebrities or Campbell’s soup tins. His approach and techniques underline an ongoing fascination with the mass media and popular culture derived in part from his early career in advertising.
