Rookery Nook By Ben Travers
She's pretty, wears pink pyjamas and turns up unexpectedly at Rookery Nook, a rented holiday home in Somerset. Local tongues begin to wag in the quiet seaside town of Chumpton-on-Sea and so begins a chaos of embarrassments, excuses and evasions, minor deceptions and major misunderstandings.
Throw in a ferocious German stepfather (with an equally ferocious dog), a
retired drunken Admiral, a hen-pecked husband and a malevolent charlady and you have the perfect line-up for a funny, fast-moving farce by master of the genre Ben Travers.
