Textile Expressions

This exhibition gives an exciting glimpse of what can be achieved in the contemporary world of stitched textiles, which may be purely decorative, express feelings, convey a message or simply to 'ask-a-question'.

This group of like-minded textile artists work in a wide variety of media and techniques. These include books, batik, basketry, quilts, felt and 3D pieces, which may be stitched, slashed, painted and often incorporate collaged layers of paper, fabric, natural materials and found objects.

Each member has developed their own unique style using drawing, photography and computer graphics as aids to the design process.
