Patience
In the late nineteenth century, there stood a beautiful castle owned by the aesthetic poet Bunthorne. His appreciation of beauty led a swooning group of love sick maidens to his door, blissfully unaware that Bunthorne is a sham.
Gilbert directs his satire at the aesthetic movement of the late nineteenth century as represented by Oscar Wilde and the Pre-Raphaelite artists.
The contrast in wooing styles and Sullivan's delightful melodies promise an evening of humour and high-class entertainment from Huddersfield Gilbert & Sullivan Society.
