Virtuoso trombonist Dennis Rollins has gained a reputation at the forefront of UK jazz and pop over the last 25 years as an artist of excellence, lending his unique and stylish talents to some of this country's top musicians including Courtney Pine, The Brand New Heavies and rock band Blur.
Rollins' latest and very successful jazz threesome Dennis Rollins Velocity Trio has Ross Stanley on organ and Pedro Segundo playing drums. They won Band of the Year in the 2012 Yorkshire Jazz Awards, and in 2013 the British Trombone Society named Rollins Play of the Year.
An award-winning leader in his own right, his latest project is a brilliant marriage of refined contemporary jazz arrangements with simmering funk grooves.
