Ant Law

Guitarist Ant began his training on classical piano, later studying on scholarship at both Edinburgh University and Berklee College of Music.

Whilst touring internationally since moving to London a few years ago, Ant has kept a relatively low profile on the jazz circuit, composing intensively, road testing his pad of tunes, and expanding it. After a period of extremely intense practice Ant developed tendinitis and had to take a break from playing for 3 months, focusing instead of rhythmic work and further composition.

He makes regular trips to New York to study with his heroes Ben Monder, Lage Lund, Adam Rogers, Gilad Hekselman, Tim Miller, and significantly Ari Hoenig. These influences are audible in the music. Once back to full health he set about honing the pad further and further, and continued working with some of the heaviest young cats in the UK.
